General Contractor Craig Mason is a “master-builder”.
Craig Mason grew up around the construction business and learned his trade in high school and college construction tech programs. He has been building and remodeling homes and commercial buildings throughout Sonoma County for over 30 years. Craig is considered in the construction industry as a “master builder.”
Craig has personally worked “hands on” in all trade areas. His knowledge, great eye for detail, and strong work ethic is what drives A-1 Builders. Whether working on a Victorian, Bungalow, Artisan, or Modern style home, Craig knows exactly what to do. He continues his education, and stays current on building codes, green building and cutting-edge products. He is always thoughtful, meticulous, and detailed in his work.

As the on-site manager for every job, Craig brings together a skilled team of workers that have been with A-1 Builders for many years. A-1 Builders partners with local architects, draft persons, engineers, and other professionals for all of A-1’s clients. We have access to quality subcontractors, tradesmen, and material companies. We help with permits, Cal-Green, HERZ paperwork, insurance companies, plans and designs, energy efficient resources, solar providers and office services. We keep current on all building codes and laws.
Craig, his wife, Paula, and their children are active in the Santa Rosa and Sonoma community. Together they are involved with several ongoing volunteer projects and business groups.
